Weekly (monthly....) update
I relize today that it has been a while since I had posted. Partially due to the fact that I took two weeks off from lab and partially due to the kaos that always seems to happen near the end of the quarter. Its been so long since I last posted that I don’t know where I left off… So I’m going to back track to the begining of Feburary where I extracted all the mantle samples from...

Monthly FTR coffee hour: 03/28/2008, 6:30AM
Psyche!  Just kidding!  Same date, but actually it will be at 9AM in FTR Rm. 103. Coffee, beer, and snacks to be provided by Roberts Lab.  We will also be providing entertainment in the form of a very brief, informal “presentation” of our current research.

Milwaukee
Been in Milwaukee since Wednesday. That means I was in town for the Favre retirement.  Anyway, have been doing trout myocyte cultures. 3 days and we are up to about 36 little wells to look at. Treatments are varied including the pBAD trout active form Sam made up. Will have to wait and see if any of the treatment alter myocyte proliferation and differentiation.—-SR

weekly update
Not much happened this week as far as abalone tollip stuff. Did a couple PCRs on genomic DNA since sequencing was a failure last time. I think Dr. Roberts mentioned trying a different way to sequence the gene this time… More to come on that when it happens. And I’m going to try and get another scholarship: the Library Research Award. More essays, but it seems straight forward. -Cullen
